Prayer

This week’s prayer was based on the prayer Renee Oberin, Mission Leader from Kildare Ministries shared with our 2025 Lamp Bearer Alina and the Year 12 Student Representative Student Leaders Jolyne, Mary-Jane and Swedal during last week’s  Student Leadership Seminar at Saltbush.

God of Hope

You are in every moment of joy and peace.

You are in every negative moment.

You are in every moment of love.

God of Hospitality

There are no depths beyond your presence.

There are no heights where you cannot soar.

God of Compassion

You are in every poverty and every richness.

You are in every thought of generosity.

God of Justice

Your sun shines on everyone without choosing.

Your love is endless and overflowing.

God of Courage

You are in all dreams and desires.

You are in all our fears and anxieties.

God of Wonder

You are in all questions and uncertainty.

You are in our wonderings and our discoveries.

We heard the call for hospitality in the Old Testament. 

Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by doing that, 

some have entertained angels without knowing it. Hebrews 13:2 NRSV

And we continue to hear the call for hospitality in the New Testament

You have greatly encouraged me and made me happy 2 Corinthians 7:4 NRSV

Lord, may all our Marian students continue to seek your greater good in themselves and in others who cross their paths.
