Valuable Learner

Oliver Davies - Inquiring Mind

At only seven years old, Oliver is known around All Saints as "a young scientist." He is a boy with a boundless curiosity and a knack for asking questions that can stump even the smartest adults; Google is often consulted after one of these questions! He’s the student whose hand is always raised, the one whose questions keep us all on our toes, and the one whose excitement for science is contagious.  His teachers, friends, and family admire his insatiable curiosity. Oliver loves examining anything he sees: plants, rocks, ants, and snails crawling across the playground. His bedroom must be full of "specimens" — and we have enjoyed the visiting snail he had “rescued” from the garden.

Some of the topics, he can be consulted on if you need information are space, large sea creatures and animals.

Oliver, you remind us all of the true essence of curiosity. From the moment you first joined our school, it was clear that you didn’t just want to know the ‘what’ or the ‘how’ of things — you were determined to understand the ‘why.’ And that is what sets you apart. Whether we’re discussing the planets, the life cycle of a spiny leaf insect, or the mysteries of electricity, your mind is always asking, exploring, and pushing for answers that go deeper.

We know that this inquiring mind is just a glimpse of what Oliver may become in the future. A Marine Biologist? An Astrophysicist? A teacher? The potential is enormous! Whatever he chooses, we know this inquiring mind will set him up for success and that is why Oliver is our Valuable Learner for Term 4.

Thank you for modelling our valuable habit of having an inquiring mind.
