Italian - Term 4 

Newsletter Term 4 Italian Yrs 2-4.

 

Dear Parents, 

This term, we are exploring the geography, history, and beauty of Italy together with the opportunity to use the grammar and vocabulary introduced last term. We will also learn a Christmas song in Italian and explore the Italian and Australian Christmas customs.

 

Year 2

Students will share what facts they already know about Italy and what questions they would like to explore further. Students, as a class, will contribute to a class book titled “Did you know….?” They will listen to and discuss the story of “La Macchinetta Rossa”. 

 

The students will become familiar with the words to the Italian Christmas song, “Un Bimbo, Una Mamma” and complete activities that illustrate Italian and Australian Christmas traditions.

 

Year 3

Students will write and share what facts they already know about Italy and what questions they would like to explore further. Students will contribute a page to a class book titled “Did you know….?” They will listen to and discuss the story of “La Macchinetta Rossa” and explore what adding “….issima, ….issimo, ….issimi” at the end of adjectives and adverbs means.

 

The students will become familiar with the words to the Italian Christmas song, “Un Bimbo, Una Mamma” and complete activities that illustrate Italian and Australian Christmas traditions.

Students will write and share what facts they already know about Italy and what questions they would like to explore further.
