Mr. Jason Puttnins

Water Safety Week is coming!

Water Safety Week is almost here! In Week 7 (Monday 25th November - Thursday 28th November) students from Reception to Year 6 will be taking part in Water Safety sessions, which will be taking place at The Largs Bay Swim Centre (195 Victoria Rd, Largs Bay).

Water Safety Week is an important time in the school calendar as our students learn survival skills, correct stroke techniques and the development of water confidence.

Our students will be traveling by private bus - please refer to the timetable below for class lesson times and bus arrival and departure times:

Important information

  • Children must come to school with their bathers on under their uniform. They must also bring a towel and underwear to change into. Students will get changed at The Largs Bay Swim Centre private changerooms.
  • All students are required to travel to and from the swimming centre with their class teachers. Kanga Coachlines have been organised to transport the children.

Please look out for 2 forms which will come home with your child on Monday - A Water Safety consent form, and an Activity Information sheet with a bus consent form. They both need to be completed in order to give your child consent to take part in Water Safety Week.

We're hoping that all students of our community take part in this wonderful opportunity as they learn important life-long water skills.

Yours in Love, Peace and Learning,

Jason Puttnins
