From the Classroom

Newsletter from Transition

This week, our Kinder students enjoyed a playful and educational transition activity focused on numeracy and creativity! We kicked things off with lively numeracy rhymes, which helped students practice counting and get familiar with numbers in a fun, rhythmic way.

Following the rhymes, the children coloured their own fish and crafted them onto fishing rods. Each child took great care in decorating their fish, using bright colours and their imaginations to bring them to life. Then, they attached their fish to pretend fishing rods, turning their artwork into interactive props for pretend play.

Through these activities, the children not only reinforced counting skills but also expressed their creativity and practiced fine motor skills. It’s wonderful to see their excitement grow as they learn through hands-on fun!

Art News

As the year is quickly coming to an end, I wanted to share our whole school displays. Art displays can be found in the foyer and throughout the learning street. These displays are changed a couple of times each term, and they will be coming down soon to prepare for the end of the year. Please come in and check them out before we send all the beautiful artwork home. Students have been working on their art folios in class and they will come home jam packed full of their creations before the end of the year. Clay artworks are also ready to come home and can be collected from the art room at your convenience.
