Principal News
Dear Sacred Heart Community,
Prayer
God of Love,
Your son, Jesus, is your greatest gift to us.
He is a sign of your love.
Help us walk in that love during the weeks of Advent,
As we wait and prepare for his coming.
We pray in the name of Jesus, our Savior.
Amen
Congratulations
Congratulations to our Year Five student Gail Martina and her great family, little brother Gabriel, dad Giovanni and mum Mary Anne who became citizens earlier this week in a very special ceremony.
Allocation of Class Groups
Towards the end of each school year, teachers commence organising the following year’s class groupings. This task has been happening these past two weeks and is one that teachers approach with diligence and an understanding that the groupings need to be in each student’s best interest. Our school mantra, “Our students are at the heart of everything we do”, is no more pertinent in any other decision that we make, than our class groupings.
A range of considerations are used during a number of meetings before the class groupings are decided upon. All staff are involved in this decision making process.
School Board 2024 AGM
A very important parent group within our school community is our School Advisory Board. Our Board meets a minimum of six times a year to discuss, give opinions and feedback and generate ideas. Its function is to help our school Sacred Heart be the best version of itself by meeting the responsibilities we have been entrusted to give our students the best primary education possible.
Can I express my gratitude to this group for for their dedication to all things Sacred Heart. Their support of our school helps us to be continually reflecting on our practices
Uniform Shop
As our year draws to a close, I would like to thank Cettina mum of Joseph who has coordinated our school uniform shop. The role is akin to running a small business, (budgeting, stock taking, pricing, advertising and selling). Cettina does it all with a smile on her face and I am so grateful to have a parent willing to give so much of her time. I would also like to thank mums Tissa, Sally and Belle who have so kindly helped Cettina this year. What a great team you four mums have made.
Meeting our 2025 Buddy
Thank You
A big thank you to the magnificent Damira and her daughters for donating enough icy poles for at least the next two weeks and the first week of 2025. This donation means that all icy poles sold generate a clear profit and brings in extra valuable money for our school.
Some Of Our 2025 Foundation Students
As you can see from the photos we will continue to share, there is much excitement experienced getting your first school uniform for our Foundation Class 2025 members.
