Prayer Services

Throughout the term and across the Learning Areas, staff, students and families have participated in Prayer Services in the school.  These services have been times of reflection and relationship building with God.  We have given thanks and prayed for those in the community who need support and strength.  Thank you to all of the staff, students and families for your preparation and participation.

2025 Year of Jubilee- Pilgrims of Hope

On 24th November, the Archdiocese of Melbourne will be beginning the Jubilee Celebrations for the Catholic year of Jubilee.  The celebrations officially begin on Christmas Eve in the Vatican City.  So that staff, students and school communities can begin celebrations, the Archdiocese of Melbourne is starting a bit earlier.

“The Holy Father has dedicated 2025 as a Jubilee Year, something which happens every 25 years. The motto is ‘Pilgrims of Hope’, intending 2025 to be a year of hope for the world.

The Jubilee Year will be launched at the Inauguration of the Jubilee Year Mass, St Patrick's Cathedral, 11.00 am, Sunday 24th November 2024. All are welcome to attend."

The Year of Jubilee is to reestablish our relationship with God, each there and all of creation, a time to reconcile, forgive and be forgiven.

Throughout 2025, the global Catholic community will celebrate this extraordinary year of Jubilee in different ways and different times, which you and your family will be able to participate in.

The Jubilee Prayer

Father in heaven,

may the faith you have given us

in your son, Jesus Christ, our brother,

and the flame of charity enkindled

in our hearts by the Holy Spirit,

reawaken in us the blessed hope

for the coming of your Kingdom.

May your grace transform us

into tireless cultivators of the seeds of the Gospel.

May those seeds transform from within both humanity and the whole cosmos

in the sure expectation

of a new heaven and a new earth,

when, with the powers of Evil vanquished,

your glory will shine eternally.

May the grace of the Jubilee

reawaken in us, Pilgrims of Hope,

a yearning for the treasures of heaven.

May that same grace spread

the joy and peace of our Redeemer

throughout the earth.

To you our God, eternally blessed,

be glory and praise for ever.

Amen

Go gently and be well,

Kate
