Book Week 2023

The theme of this year’s upcoming Book Week is Read, Grow, Inspire – a reminder that books can fire your imagination, help you empathise with others, and enable every reader to learn and grow.

It is also a week in which the CBCA (Children’s Book Council of Australia) award the best Australian children’s books of the past year. This year’s list can be found here https://cbca.org.au/shortlist-2023. I have my fingers crossed that Runt will win the Younger Readers category. It is a delightful book with messages of resilience and discovering what is truly important. The Older Readers category also has some truly great titles.
