A Message from Parents & Friends
Hi everyone,
We hope everyone is keeping well and aren’t knee deep in costume design for Book Week in a week's time! We want to let you know that our profit from the Disco was $1998.88. A big thank you to Leanne and her helpers for organising and for everyone supporting the event.
With that in mind, we’re pleased to tell you that our total fundraising profit for Term 2 was $7294.92. Add that to our Term One profit, you have all helped us raise (drumroll please) $33,948.68, towards improving our STEM facilities. That is a phenomenal effort from our wonderful community - thank you!
Here is this fortnights update from us:
Friday treats
Friday treats this week are chocolate chip cookies for $1 per child. There is a limit of one per child unless we haven’t sold out. Next week (which happens to coincide with Father/ Special Person’s event) will be icy poles for $1.50 - yep we’re hoping Melbourne just has one warm season on this day!

Bunnings BBQ ALTONA NORTH - Saturday 5th August
Thank you to everyone who came along and bought a sausage or sent family and friends down to buy one - it was a really huge success! The day was persistently busy and we had to dash and buy more food! A big thanks to the Stewart family for organising, coordinating and spending their whole Saturday at Bunnings. We raised $2291.76 on the day. This total is included in the fundraising total above.
Picture Plates - July/ August
Thank you to everyone who ordered a plate - we hoped you enjoyed watching your kids design some amazing plates and other items! Thank you to the Tivendale for coming up with the idea and organising. We’re pleased to announce that we raised $712.00 towards our STEM facility improvements. This total is included in the fundraising total above. Plates will be delivered to school around 19th September.
Father’s/ Special Person’s Day Stall
Our stall will be held on Wednesday 30th August and Thursday 31st August. Items will be priced at $5 each. Leanne and her helpers have been busy organising amazing gifts for our special people.

Father’s/ Special Person’s Day Event - Friday 1st September
Parents & Friends will be running a sausage sizzle on the day of the event over lunchtime. To assist us with planning, we would really appreciate it if you could indicate you’re intending to buy a sausage and a drink by quickly filling out this survey. Payment is taken on the day - preferred payment is cash but the card machine will be available.
The great news is that Cam has offered to BBQ and we have the Western Bulldogs Mascot coming along for the afternoon (we can just hear David and Cam leap for joy with that one)!

TERM 4
Family Portraits - Saturday 7th October
Once again we will be having the photographer come to school on this day and take photos of your family. The cost is $30 and there are a limited number of places available. Details will be sent out via Compass. All proceeds from these portrait sessions go towards the school. Any prints are ordered in addition at a separate expense.
Grandparent/ Special Person’s Day - Friday 27th October
Please get Grandparents/ Special Person’s to save the date for this event. We look forward to organising something really special for you. More details to follow in the coming weeks.
End of Year Raffle
We know, we know, it’s so early to even comprehend that we’re soon heading into Term 4, but we all know the end of year will be here before we know it!
This is just a call out that if you have brand new gifts that you don’t want, can you think of school first. We’re talking about body care sets, glasses, toys, general gifts etc… things that we can add to our raffle. If you have, please feel free to leave at the office where we can collect.
