Principal Update

We only have 2 ½ weeks of this term left with the 2-6 concert being the big event on the last Thursday. The ticket sales have been very strong with 60% sold already. We are recognizing RU OK? day on Wednesday 6 September (note new date) with some class activities during the day aimed at looking after each other and being aware of others and their feelings. The students can wear yellow on this day.
Our staff meeting after school will also focus on RU OK with staff completing some reflective work about the strategies they employ when feeling overwhelmed.
All Sports Day
The last day of term will be a celebration of All Sports. We encourage all students to dress up in their favourite team colours and/or sports gear to recognise all the sports we love.

Big Group Hug donations
Thanks to the community for supporting this drive lead by two of our year 3 students. The charity were very grateful and appreciative of the amount of donations. Thanks to Evie and Holly for their work and their parents support for such a great cause. I really like supporting the initiative shown by these students and the desire they have to help others. Well done Evie and Holly.
Outdoor Library
We have three year 2 students who are on a quest to start up the outdoor library again. These three have planned and discussed through recesses and lunches to get everything in place. I feel proud of their efforts and their desire to provide a service to others. They have requested donations and are really pleased with the items they’ve received so far. Being able to support students with their ideas is a favourite part of my week. Thanks to Bridget, Ada and Tilly.
