The carnival will go ahead in all conditions. It will only be called off in extreme circumstances.

All FIELD event athletes MUST be present at 9:30 a.m.

The 1500-m WILL begin at 12:00 p.m.

2:30 p.m. PRESENTATIONS

Please note the following:

Athletes are permitted to compete in a maximum of 2 individual events and 1 relay.

All age groups per permitted to wear spikes for 100-m, 200-m, Hurdles, Relay, Long Jump, Triple Jump and High Jump.

Spikes are not permitted in the 800-m or the 1500-m events for any age groups.

No personal batons for relay events will be permitted. A baton will be supplied by MPSSA for all relay events.

There can be no equal second places. Re-runs or extra throws/jumps will apply.

To advance to Kingston Division, a student or team must place first or second in their event.

Ribbons will be awarded to the first three placegetters in every event.

The MPSSA Chief Judge will have the final say in any disputes arising from all proceedings.

NATIONAL CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIPS

Archie and Marcus Sideridis competed in the School Sport Australia National CrossCountry Championships in Canberra.

The boys' Individual results were outstanding! Marcus - 2nd - 10 year old boys; Archie - 1st - 12 year old boys

The team results were very impressive too!

The Relay results:

1st - 5 x 1,000-m - TeamVic 10 boys (Marcus)

3rd - 5 x 1,500-m - TeamVic 12 boys (Archie)

A great result from Marcus competing at his first National Championships. After falling at the start, he showed great composure to get himself back amongst the medals with a courageous run.Following his 3rd at last year's Cross-Country Nationals, Archie was keen to improve on that result and finished as National champion! This followed previous wins this year at SSV States, Victorian All Schools U14 and LAVIC XC States U12.

Well done boys, Valkstone is very proud of your amazing achievements!
