Another State Medal For Merlin Tzaros

Merlin Tzaros of Year 9 has added another significant medal to his growing Trophy Cabinet, winning a Silver Medal after finishing in 2nd place in his age group (15-19yo) at the Victorian Duathlon Sprint Championships held in Melbourne last Sunday 27th August.

Comprising of a 5km run, 20km bike ride, and then another run of 2.5 km, Merlin was able to use his skills & fitness gained as part of the Victorian State Triathlon team, to clearly beat all other participants his age. The only competitor to beat him home, was a 19-year old, four years older than Merlin.

Once again our school community sends out a congratulations to Merlin. We are very proud of your achievements, the way you train, the flawless way you conduct yourself at school, and that you manage to juggle everything while still keeping at the top academically as well. You are in inspiration to all of us, and one that all of our up & coming Year 7s and 8s should look up to as a role model.
