Numeracy

Numeracy News

The Department of Education has a Numeracy Guide available to support school leaders, educators and families build their understanding of Numeracy, how it is taught and learned, and ways that families can support Numeracy development at home, from birth.

One factor that can influence children’s attitudes towards Numeracy and Mathematics education is the belief that some people have ‘Maths brains,’ and others do not. Nurturing a positive mindset is something we can all do to support students in learning Numeracy concepts, as is making connections to how numeracy concepts are part of our everyday lives.
