Confirmation Saints

Our Year Six students are currently preparing to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. During Confirmation, most people chose a saint’s name to take on. This saint is often someone  who inspires them, or whose virtues they want to imitate. It is the name of a saint who will accompany the individual through life.

God calls all people to holiness. People are considered holy when they live lives filled with love for God and others. By living with love and offering Christian witness in everyday life. All people are called to become saints.

Saints reflect God’s goodness. They are examples of people who reflect God through holiness in their efforts to do what is good. The lives of saints witness to Jesus and the Gospels. Influenced by the Holy Spirit saints are examples of love, justice and peace as they respond to the needs of others, especially the poor.
