Junior School

The Angelico Exhibition for Catholic Students is a prestigious annual event on the Catholic School Art calendar and was named after Blessed Fra Angelico, Patron before God of Artists. In 2023, the Primary and Secondary Exhibitions will again combine to form the Angelico Exhibition. This exhibition showcases outstanding, artistic results from a range of catholic students and schools across our state. A big thanks to Helen Shanahan for the outstanding work she does with our Junior School boys.

Performing Arts Festival for Catholic Schools and Colleges in Western Australia was established to help the students of Catholic schools and colleges experience the spirit and tradition of the performing arts. The Festival seeks to provide students with specific ‘performance platforms’ where they have the unique opportunity to give of their very best and perform to a public audience. Open to both primary and secondary school students, the performance categories encompass choral, drama, musical, instrumental, vocal and dance aspects of the performing arts. Thank you to Ann Clarke, our Music staff and Paula Nicoletto for the awesome performances from our Junior School boys.

2023 Central Region Interschool Spelling Bee

On Friday, 11 August Trinity College Junior School hosted the “2023 Central Region Interschool Spelling Bee”. Catholic Primary Schools from around the metro area sent along their brightest and best spellers. There were four competitions held across Years 3, 4, 5 and 6. Parents and spectators were almost as nervous as the contestants. Some amazingly challenging words were put forward and the runner up and champion of each year was crowned.

Trinity Junior School shone brightly across Gibney Hall and the STEM room as we battled out to determine the champions! The day finished with a shared morning tea and presentations.

Parent Pick-up and Child Safety

The College is still observing several traffic issues that pose an immediate danger to many of our Junior students. Therefore, in the interest of student safety, parents are asked to follow all road-safety rules and consider the following during peak drop-off and pick-up times.

  • Your patience will ensure the safety of each student at the College
  • Please adhere to the speed limit (10) within the College
  • Please move slowly through the Main driveway and the roundabout near the canopy
  • Please do not enter the roundabout on the Main driveway unless the area is clear This way, exiting cars can depart via Braithwaite Street
  • Please do not park on or near the crosswalks within the College—only park in designated bays
  • Please do not perform U-turns on Nelson Crescent
  • Please do not stop in the middle of Nelson Crescent to allow your children to enter the vehicle as this is creating dangerous situations with students running to parents' cars and the banking back of traffic
  • Please comply with all No Parking signs on Nelson Crescent
  • Please do not park in the Bus stand area on Nelson Crescent
  • Please don't double-park anywhere. The buses struggle to move on Nelson Crescent safely
  • Please remind your sons to check for traffic and cross carefully and safely
  • If possible, try to stagger drop-off and pick-up times. After-hours supervision is available in the Senior School Library

We appreciate your patience and support in ensuring each student's safety at the College.
