Early Finish Term 3

Just a reminder that Term 3 finishes on Friday September 16th at 2.30pm. If your child needs supervision please contact Camp Australia.

School returns on Monday October 2nd. Please note that students require a navy broad brimmed hat for Term 4 and Term 1. These can be purchased through the office or DCS uniforms.

I hope everyone has an enjoyable holiday and is able to spend some quality family time together.

Term 4

Term 4 is notoriously a really busy term. Units will send out a term update in the first week back. Please note the excursion dates and place them in your calendar. COMPASS is our main communication method so please check regularly and if you are experiencing any technical issues please contact the office for assistance.

Please note, the last day for students at Rollins P.S will be the Monday 18th December. Students will be dismissed at 3.30pm. Tuesday the 19th Dec and Wednesday 20th Dec are allocated Professional Development days that have been approved by School Council.

2024 Placement

At Rollins, we work thoughtfully to build future class groupings. Teachers work together (literally for hours) forming classes for the coming year. They consider student learning styles, behaviour needs, student personalities, gender (even numbers of boys and girls) and many other factors to create classrooms where students will work well together and with their teacher. It is a complex process. Our goal is always to create the most balanced classes possible.

Parents are invited to advise us of any considerations that they would like us to take into account for student placement in 2024. If you would like to take this opportunity, I ask that you provide your thoughts in writing to me, no later than Thursday 19th October 2023. Unfortunately, we are unable to consider requests after this date. Please note we cannot meet requests for specific teachers and, although we try our best to meet all requests, we cannot give guarantees.

As always, please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions or concerns.
