Combined Colleges Ensemble Evening

A large crowd attended our annual Combined Colleges Ensemble Evening in Lennon Hall last night. Our wonderful hospitality staff and students provided light meals on the deck before the concert. The food was amazing as always.

The Combined College Concert Band, String Orchestra, Wind Ensemble and Saints Big Band performed a varied program from the classics to film music. It was a fantastic evening of music performed for a most appreciative audience.

Cerise & Blue Open Night

The Music Department had a very busy and long night with tours of our new facilities until 8pm. It was great to see so many prospective musicians keen to look at our programs.  Our ensembles performed under Ambrose as the weather was so unpredictable. There were many new families as well as current parents enjoying  our ensembles perform and they played very well.

Our pianists and guitarists entertained at the front of the new building which opens up onto the College entrance. There were so many positive comments about how lovely it was to have the live music performed as they entered – well done gents.

Mr Darveniza had the recording studio going to demonstrate our new equipment and what we can do in the new building which was exciting for all the touring families. 

Music Group Photos

Music groups will be photographed on Wednesday 6 September for the Yearbook. Please see the schedule below. All students must be in concert blacks – black long sleeved collared shirt, black trousers (not chinos or jeans), black socks and shoes. 

Make sure you have the correct uniform and arrive at least 15 minutes before your photo time.

Video auditions have been sent in and very shortly the callbacks will begin. The leads will soon be announced, and rehearsals for the leads will commence in Week 1 of next term. 

Spirit of Arts Awards

Students can apply for a Spirit of Arts Award at any time. Please see the arts staff to get an application and information booklet.

Events Calendar

We have an extremely busy calendar in Term 3. Please regularly check parent slips and keep the dates below in your diaries. We have scheduled everything from workshops and excursions to major music nights. It’s very exciting to be able to offer so many performance and workshop activities to our students to develop their craft.
