Grade 2 

We have had a busy week 5! 

In maths, the students have been learning all about addition stories. We have been looking at the starting number, the action and the end (total). 

In literacy, the students have been reading and learning the story of 'Tiddalick the Frog' - This story is told during the Aboriginal dream time. We have been discussing the voices of the characters and why this is important in reading. 

During our inquiry unit, we looked at the life cycle of the Pobblebonk frog. Students then created their own 3D poster of the Life Cycle - we have displayed these in our classroom. 

Next week we are heading off on our excursion to the Wimmera River - Weir Park and we cannot wait! We are also heading to the Town Hall to view the musical 'Cinderella.' Can all parents please ensure the permissions slips are signed via PAM, if unsure please unsure please contact the office.
