Grade 1 

On Tuesday afternoon all of us went on an excursion to the river. We met with some members of Wimmera CMA and Horsham Urban Landcare who took us for a walk around the Yanga Track and taught us about some of the flora and fauna in and around the Wimmera River. We all had the opportunity to look into tree hollows and nest boxes with a special camera to see what wildlife was living inside! We learnt the names of animals such as different types of birds and frogs and enjoyed identifying their animal calls. This excursion linked in well with the our Inquiry unit on Biological Science and living and nonliving things. We all had a great afternoon!
