Dowerin Field Day

As part of the Year 11 tour this week students were able to compete in wool and sheep judging at the Dowerin Field Day to qualify for the Perth Royal Show.  We had a clean sweep in the Merino ewe judging with a 1st, 2nd and 3rd  -  Talesha James, Jemima Bach and Jasmine Stowe.  Jemima also placed 2nd in the fleece judging.

Special thanks to Mr Pfitzner, Ms Stringer and Mr Swallow for giving up their valuable time to take the Year 11 students on the Muresk/Dowerin Tour.  Also thanks to Balco Hay, CBH, CBH Wyalkatchem Museum, Bilya Koort Boodja Centre for Noongar Culture and Environmental Knowledge, Northam and WACoA Cunderdin for allowing our students to visit their sites.

Canopy Maintenance

This week the students who were not involved in First Aid have been carrying out canopy maintenance on the table grapes with Mr Cruickshank.  This has given students the opportunity to learn and practice canopy maintenance skills in readiness for formal assessments.

Weekend Stock

Just a reminder to all students to check the weekend stock roster so they are aware of their weekend stock obligations. If students need to swap a weekend stock date, they are required to fill out a swap form a week prior to the date of their rostered weekend.
