Harvesting, Preparing and Sharing
The Year 3's have continued to expand their kitchen garden skills and knowledge by harvesting, preparing and sharing some delicious dishes over the past couple of weeks including Rosemary Lavoush, Hummus and Vege Platters and Pumpkin, Potato and Coriander Soup with Garlic and Parsley Rolls.
We have harvested from the garden some parsley, celery, rosemary, coriander and were very lucky to have some pumpkins grow from our compost that where used for our soup. Thanks to Tess and her garden helpers for keeping our garden flourishing.
In the kitchen we have been identifying different herbs and using them in our recipes, practicing our measurement skills and following the instructions in a recipe. We have also been learning the art of 'seasoning to taste' and garnishing our dishes ready for serving.
