The latest news!

Dear Parents/Carers and supporters of our greatest asset, our children,

We were excited to achieve 100 Days of Magnify — a milestone that highlights the wonderful growth and learning happening in our school. Over the past 100 days, our teachers and students have been focusing on “magnifying” learning by building skills, deepening knowledge, and supporting each other to shine. This time has also been about staying closely aligned with Catholic Education Sandhurst initiatives, making sure our teaching and learning reflect our shared faith and values. Together, these 100 days have strengthened our community, our learning, and our commitment to giving every student the best opportunities to grow.

It’s a wonderful time to be part of the St Joseph’s community, with our learning journey supported by Catholic Education Sandhurst.

Science Community Learning Day

Last Friday, our students kicked off Science Week with a fun-filled rotation of activities prepared by our teachers. They explored the wonders of flight by building and testing paper aeroplanes, created helicopters to see how they would fly from different heights, and designed their own magnet mazes. Our Community Learning Day brought students together in multi-age groups, encouraging collaboration, creativity, and connection across the school — a wonderful way to learn from and with each other.

Elmore Field Days

We’re now seeking volunteers to help with the gate rosters at the Elmore Field Days. If you’re available on October 7, 8, or 9, we’d love to hear from you. Your time and support make a big difference — this event is one of our community’s major fundraisers, helping us continue to improve our school grounds for the benefit of all our students.

Leave

I will be on leave from Monday 18th August to Friday 29th August. During this time, Mrs Jo Thurley will be supporting our staff and students in the day-to-day running of the school. Jo is the Deputy Principal at Holy Rosary White Hills, and we’re very grateful to Catholic Education Sandhurst for making it possible for her to step into this role. This means the same level of care and support for our staff, students, and families will continue while I’m away.

Our morning emails will still go out to keep you up to date with all the reminders you need. If you have any questions or need assistance, please call the office and ask for Jo.

Thanks for your support and cooperation.

We are #bettertogether.
