Hello from 3D

We are excited to share all the amazing things we've been doing in 3D! This year has been full of fun and learning. Some of our highlights include developing our badminton skills in PE, going on an exciting excursion to Twisted Science, and working together to complete classroom challenges. One of our proudest moments was becoming the LPS champions in the Victoria Rocks competition — go 3D!

In Mathematics, we have been busy revising and building our skills through our daily retrieval lessons. We’ve worked together to name different types of angles, become confident with fractions, and explore new strategies for addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. It’s been wonderful to see everyone growing as mathematicians and supporting one another in their learning.

In Literacy, we’ve been learning how to become powerful writers and readers! We used persuasive language to convince our audience of different ideas and added descriptive and sequencing vocabulary to create amazing narratives. We’ve also started reading the classic novel Charlotte’s Web. It’s been so interesting to explore the language features of a timeless story. Every day, we practise our reading fluency.  We sound like real news reporters!
