Foundation Chesterfield Farm Excursion

On Friday 1st August, our Foundation students embarked on their first school excursion. The Foundation students enjoyed a fun-filled day at Chesterfield Farm, a historic property now operating as an interactive children's farm. The experience provided valuable insights into farm life and animal care through a range of hands-on activities. Throughout the visit, students delighted in feeding animals, exploring the animal nursery and enjoying a scenic tractor ride around the farm. A highlight of the day was learning about the important role of sheepdogs, along with the unique opportunity to milk a cow. Engaging directly with the animals brought both joy and learning, making the excursion a memorable experience. The Foundation students are already looking forward to more exciting excursions as they continue their journey through school.

100 Days of School

Tuesday 29th of July marked a joyful milestone as our Foundation students celebrated their first 100 days of school. The Foundation students arrived at school dressed as 100‑year‑olds, embracing the celebration with enthusiasm. Throughout the day, the students engaged in themed activities, including creating their own crown to proudly proclaim that they are 100 days smarter! The mood was elevated further with an exciting class party to celebrate this momentous occasion.

Tuesday 5th of August brought a Special Assembly dedicated to our Foundation cohort. A video presentation recapped the students’ journey over their first 100 days. Each student received a special certificate in recognition of this milestone. They also delighted the audience with a magnificent musical performance.

Our Foundation students of 2025 have had a remarkable start at Chatham, embracing learning with enthusiasm. They look forward with anticipation to many more inspiring and enjoyable experiences ahead.
