We are very happy to be celebrating Book Week, a time to embrace the incredible journeys we can take through reading! This year’s theme, “Book an Adventure,” encourages us to open a book and discover new worlds, exciting characters, and thrilling tales, all without ever leaving home.
One of the highlights of our week will be the Book Character Parade tomorrow, Friday 22nd August, at 2:00 PM.
All students are encouraged to come dressed as their favourite book character.
A zoom link will be shared with families before 2:00pm.
Costume Ideas Include:
The Cat in the Hat, Where’s Wally? The Rainbow Fish, Alice in Wonderland, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, Dog Man, Bluey, Harry Potter, Matilda, Pinocchio, Little Red Riding Hood…Homemade costumes are very welcome!
We would also like to express our sincere thanks to all the parents and carers who supported our school by purchasing books from the Scholastic Book Fair and also to those families who donated books to our school from the fair. Your generosity not only placed wonderful stories in the hands of our students but also contributed to growing and enriching our school library through the proceeds earned, and is truly appreciated!
Book Fair orders will be delivered directly to your child’s class once they have all been received from the Scholastic warehouse.
* A reminder that all online purchases, made at home, need to have the receipt number and details completed on the Wish List. The completed Wish List should have been given to your child’s class teacher by today so orders can be placed.
Wish List: Due today
If your child has not handed in their completed Wish List please give it to Mrs Balogh-Caristo first thing tomorrow morning.
Let us Keep the Reading Adventure Going!
We encourage you to continue fostering a love of reading at home by exploring new books together, visiting the library, and sharing stories as a family. Every book is a new adventure waiting to be discovered, and the journey does not stop there!
Thank you once again for your ongoing support and enthusiasm. Together, we are helping to build a lifelong love of reading in every child.
