Diocesan Athletics Carnival

On Tuesday 12th August, 45 St Xavier’s students travelled to Tamworth to compete in the Diocesan Athletics Carnival. It was a beautiful day in the sun and everyone showed great sportsmanship and supported each other in their events. There were lots of great results and personal bests across the track and in the field events which is great to see. We have qualified 18 students to attend the Polding Athletics Carnival later this term which is a great achievement! 

Congratulations to Millie Lyle for winning Junior Girls Champion and Banjo Fitzgerald for winning 11yrs Boy Champion.

Year 2 Tennis 

Todd Woodbridge Cup 

Year 3 and Year 4 students were invited to participate in the Todd Woodbridge Cup on the 19th August here in Gunnedah. St Xavier’s sent five teams to participate in the event, with all teams learning some valuable tennis skills over the day. It was a great day with the sun out and music playing to make for a fun-filled day. Each team played 5 rounds with two of our teams making it to the top playoff where they played each other for first and second. Both teams qualified for the Regional Final, well done!
