Debating
Round 2 of the Armidale Diocese Debating competition was very competitive as all teams implemented feedback from the previous rounds and worked to uplevel their skills. The topic for this round was that the future of the world is online. Both teams had to research the topic, form arguments and then deliver a persuasive 3-4 minute speech convincing the adjudicator of their arguments. Both teams had extremely close debates and have taken on the adjudicator’s feedback for Round 3.
Kindergarten Maths
In Kindergarten we are learning to represent the relations between the parts that form the whole, with numbers up to 10.
In our Ladybug addition we roll a dice and place the correct amount of counters on one side of our ladybug’s wings.
Roll the dice again and place the correct number of counters on the other wing.
How many counters altogether?
Year 2 Maths
Over the past two weeks, Year 2 students have been exploring the concept of area in their maths lessons. They have participated in a variety of hands-on activities, where they can measure and compare areas using uniform informal units in rows and columns.
