Three weeks to go: Calling for stall volunteers and donations

With three weeks to go until the Spring Magic Market (SMM), our school’s biggest event of the year is fast approaching! Make sure you follow us on social media and share with your friends and community to join us for an incredible day of entertainment, great food and family fun. 

 

The SMM team is so grateful for all the generous volunteers who have already signed up, but we’re calling on some more hands to help make the day another success and memorable for all.

Thank you to all our wonderful volunteers who have already put their name down.

 

We’re halfway there, but still need some more spots to be filled, especially for food stalls and packing up shifts on Saturday evening and Sunday. Senior students can sign up for a shift too.

Stall leads will be in touch with their volunteer team soon with all the details for market day.

 

Remember, the amazing OSHC team will be offering free child-minding for those volunteers who need it during their shift. To book your child’s place, please fill in this registration form, or scan the QR code below. Please note: Child-minding will only go ahead if there is enough demand to make it sustainable. 

 

 

Cake and treat stall goodies

Contributions for the ever-popular cake and treat stalls are now open. Thanks in advance to help make these vibrant and eye-catching market stalls shine with your delicious donations.

 

Cake stall: Add your cake donations to this form.

 

Treat stall: Add your treat stall donations to this form. 

When donating treats, please:

 

  • drop directly to the stall on market day by 1pm
  • label if you have used eggs, dairy, wheat
  • ensure they are ready to serve, cut into portions, bagged, cupcakes, etc. 
  • label your container with a name and collect at the end of the day or on your way out.

 

Pre-loved clothes and book donations

Please continue to drop off your good quality books and clothes in clean bags or boxes by the east lobby next to Sprout. To ensure clothing items are fit for sale, please could we have:

 

  • clothes that are clean and in good condition – no stains or tears
  • no ultra cheap ‘fast fashion’ brands
  • no underwear.

 

Reminder: No toy stall this year so toy donations are not required.

A huge thank you for all the SMM donations so far, which will help ensure our stalls thrive! 

 

Art Auction submissions open

The SMM Art Auction coordinators are accepting donations of all kinds of creative artworks. Artwork can be handed in at the school office during office hours, along with a completed donation form (available at the office). For more information please contact the Art Auction coordinators:

 

Letterbox drop flyers

Help us promote the market by doing letterbox drops of flyers in your local neighbourhood and enjoy a walk at the same time! Flyers are available for collection at the school office. A distribution map will be on hand, so you can choose and mark off the area you’ll be covering.

 

Pre-purchase your rides wristband

The inflatables and other rides are the most popular activities for kids at the market, and will run from 2–7pm. Pre-purchased wristbands can be collected on the day.
