Excursion Levy and School Fees

The due date for all fees was the 31st January, we would appreciate parents paying these as soon as possible.  These fees include payment for all the material and equipment required by students in the classrooms and specialist classes, the school nurse and school maintenance staff.  As parents will be aware the students have received the majority of their equipment for the year already.

Excursions and Incursions are being charged each term in 2026.  The Term 1 levies have been sent to parents, and will cover only the activities that students are attending in Term 1.

Parents are encouraged to contact Robyn James if they would like to discuss the payment of any fees or levies.

COMPASS Permissions

There are a number of permissions we need to collect at the beginning of the year.  These permissions are already on COMPASS (Head Lice Inspection, Consent to Use Student Images, Use of Student Images on Mothers’ and Fathers’ Day, ICT Acceptable Use Agreement and Google Apps Consent).  If parents have not completed these permissions, can we please ask for these to be completed as soon as possible?  [If you can’t locate your email, please go to your profile in COMPASS, then select the Insights tab.  You can then select Permissions 2026).

Reporting to Parents in 2026

There will be four opportunities for parents to receive a progress update for their child in 2025.

Parents will:

- be invited for an interview with teachers at the end of Term 1 (Wednesday 1st April)

- be provided a written report at the end of Term Two

- be invited for an interview with teachers at the end of Term 3

- be provided a written report at the end of Term 4.

Parents are encouraged to contact their child’s teacher at the beginning of the year if they would like to share information about their child.

Parents are asked to contact their child’s teacher if they would like to discuss the Term Two report.

As usual, parents are encouraged to contact their child’s teacher at any time during the year to discuss their child’s progress and needs.

Traffic Safety

Parents are reminded that there are strict parking restrictions around the school and these will be enforced by Stonnington Council.  It is suggested that parents walk to and from school with their children or park a little further away and walk down to the school, this will help to reduce the congestion around the school.

The two ’Kiss and Go’ areas are still in place along Tooronga Road.  Parents are reminded that they cannot leave their car if they pull up in these areas.  If you wish to walk your child to the school gate or classroom, please do not use the ‘Kiss and Go’ areas.

Whilst we understand these arrangements are not always convenient, we thank you for your support and cooperation with this.

Do you regularly ride your bike in or through Stonnington?

Stonnington Council are trialling smart bike lights with the Transport Accident Commission using award-winning seesense.cc technology to better understand how and where people ride, and where safety can be improved.

The City of Stonnington is looking for regular riders to use a smart bike light for 12 months and share insights on routes, road conditions and near-miss hotspots.

Students Arriving Late

Parents are reminded that if their child arrives to school after 9.05 that they must be signed in at the office.

Parents cannot drop their children off at the gate, they must accompany them into the office to sign them in - our children are too young to sign themselves in.

We acknowledge that this may be inconvenient for some families, however it is for the safety of the children that we require the parent to accompany them into school.

Student Accident Insurance

Parents are reminded that the school does not hold ambulance or accident insurance for injuries to students at school, on excursions or on camps. Parents are generally responsible for paying the cost of medical treatment for injury to students, including any transport costs. There are a number of companies who provide accident insurance policies.

Bringing Valuable Items to School

Parents, students and staff are reminded that personal property brought to school (including mobile phones, smart watches, iPods, calculators, toys, sporting goods, stationary) are not insured for loss or damage. Students are discouraged from bringing anything to school that is particularly valuable or special. All student electronic devices, including mobile phones, are to be turned off and secured in school bags during school hours, as per our mobile phone policy.
