Great start to 2026!

Welcoming the School Year and 2026 Kindergarten Students

The atmosphere around the school is great. Everyone has returned ready and focused. The school year has kicked off with a strong sense of momentum as students settle into their routines and reconnect with their peers.

During our first assembly, K-6 gathered together for the first time.

Mr Stewart set a clear tone for the year by revisiting our Three Rules for Living:

  • I am safe.
  • I am valued, cared for, and respected.
  • I am a learner.

This provided a reminder of our shared expectations and the supportive environment we aim to maintain.

Our new Kindergarten students have settled into school beautifully and are already showing confidence in their new routines. They’ve especially been loving our fine motor activities — from cutting and threading to playdough and drawing. Fine motor skills are so important for little learners because they strengthen the small muscles in their hands and fingers, helping with pencil grip, writing, cutting, and everyday tasks like doing up buttons. These early skills build independence, coordination, and confidence in the classroom. We are so proud of how well they are adapting and having a go at everything!

Year 4 Maths

Year 4 has exploded into 2026! Students have been learning all about position and grid referencing in Maths. Not only does this mean repeating "Never, Eat, Soggy, Weetbix" (and everything in between) many times, but adding just a little bit of nostalgia in too. Students created and played their own Battleships game, working hard to sink each other's ships and record their launches accurately.
