LOTE

It has been a busy and enjoyable year in Indonesian. Students across the school have been building their language skills through a range of activities, including songs, games, stories, and creative tasks. They have continued to develop confidence using Indonesian words and phrases and learning about Indonesian culture.

Earlier in the year, students also took part in great Indonesian Day celebrations, which were a highlight, and a fun way to share learning and engage with Indonesian culture as a school community.

Thank you to all students for their effort throughout the year. I wish everyone a safe and relaxing break -  Selamat Liburan (Happy Holidays)!

Performing Arts

As we come to the end of the year, I would like to thank our school community for a wonderful year of learning, creativity, and growth in Performing Arts. It has been a joy to see students build confidence, express themselves, and work collaboratively through music, dance, and drama.

I am very excited to continue working with our students in Performing Arts next year and am especially looking forward to our whole-school production, which will be a fantastic opportunity for students to shine, challenge themselves, and celebrate creativity together.

Wishing all families a safe, happy, and restful break. I look forward to an exciting year ahead.

Physical Education

During our PE sessions this week, the students participated in a range of Christmas related activities and games. Some of these included Tag variations, building snowmen through target related activities, and tasks, such as the 'Polar Express', which had the students working together as a team to move their sleigh and collect presents. Of course, by popular demand and overwhelming requests, some of the classes also played a game of dodgeball to finish off. 

The students have worked really hard over the year and have earned a well-deserved break. Merry Christmas to all Yarra Road families. We hope you get to relax and have fun, and stay safe over the holidays. 

STEAM

Across all year levels, STEAM has been buzzing with creativity and discovery. From sound-making instruments to recycled sculptures, from imaginative habitats to scientific models, students combined art and science in exciting ways. Each project celebrated curiosity, hands-on learning, and teamwork - skills that make our classrooms vibrant and full of wonder.
