Last Friday we celebrated the Prep Alphabet Concert in the gym. Students came dressed in a chosen letter of the alphabet. It was wonderful to showcase the culmination of the children’s learning of their letters and sounds. It was lovely to see so many parents and carers in attendance.

The students performed a variety of songs and dances, which included ‘A is for Apple’, ‘The ABC Song', 'BINGO', 'Old McDonald Had Some Vowels', 'Home Amongst the Gum Trees', 'NSEW', and 'Every Day's a Special Day’. The finale was performing ‘What Do the Letters Say?’, showcasing their knowledge of using cued articulation. This means that there is a special action for each letter/sound of the alphabet, which provides a visual cue to help students recall each sound.
There was time at the end of the performance to take class photos, and then we walked through each of the classrooms, the office, and even the canteen to see if the other students and staff could guess the letter for each of their costumes.

We would like to thank all our wonderful Prep parents and carers for their support and assistance over the year with special events and weekly PMP sessions. This has been very much appreciated.
Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
From Jodie, Narelle, Ashleigh, Tanya, Carly, & Ethan.
