A message from Ms Convery

Reflections from Jeff’s Chair: A Week of Growth, Courage & Celebration.
As I’ve stepped into Jeff’s chair as Acting Principal, I have to admit, it’s been a journey full of challenges, growth, and connections. Filling Jeff’s big shoes hasn’t been easy, at times, I’ve felt like I aged ten years in just two weeks! But through every moment, I’ve treasured this incredible opportunity to lead.
Life often teaches us that taking a leap of faith is where real growth happens. I often tell my kids to step out of their comfort zones, and this experience has made me reflect deeply. Am I prepared to take my own advice? Leading in Jeff’s absence has been my own leap, and I am learning to trust that even if I stumble, I will always fall forward.
Snapshots from an Unforgettable Week
Footy Frenzy Day Fun
Footy Frenzy Day brought an energetic burst of team spirit and community connection. With BBQ snags, footy-themed games, and a sea of team colours, students, families, and staff came together to enjoy a day filled with laughter and camaraderie. It was a perfect reminder of how fun and belonging go hand in hand in our school culture.
School Fair Preparations in Full Swing
Behind the scenes, our passionate team has been working hard to get everything ready for the upcoming School Fair. From organising stalls and activities to planning delicious food options, the excitement is palpable. We encourage everyone to get involved, whether volunteering or simply coming along to celebrate. Together, we’re making this event something special for the whole community. More details about how to get involved will be shared by the fair committee. Keep an eye out!
Science Showcase Went with a Bang!
Today we kicked off with an explosion of curiosity and innovation at our Science Showcase. Students captivated families and staff alike with hands-on experiments, interactive displays, and dazzling demonstrations. It was a true celebration of learning and creativity, reminding us all of the amazing potential within our students.
Thanks to all of our community who visited our classrooms this afternoon. We were overwhelmed to see so many smiling faces enjoying our Science Extravaganza!! We hope the food dye comes off soon ;-)
As I reflect on this time, I am grateful, not only for the experiences but for the incredible people who make this school a vibrant place to learn and grow. I’m reminded that leadership isn’t about perfection, but about showing up, taking risks, and inspiring others to do the same.
Thank you for your support during this period. I look forward to continuing this journey together, stepping boldly into the future, and embracing whatever comes next with courage and heart.
