Father's Day Breakfast Information for Parents (Preparation - Year 6) - Friday 5 September, 2025 at 7.30 - 8.30am
Dear Parents and Carers of Preparation to Year 6 Students
To acknowledge the special occasion that is our Father's Day Breakfast this Friday 5 September 2025 (7.30 - 8.30am) we ask all girls to wear full winter uniform (including tunic, blazer, yellow ribbons, polished school shoes and panama hat).
If your daughter has Sport/PE scheduled on Friday, please pack her sports uniform into her Kambala black sports bag for her to change into afterwards.
Upon arrival Junior School students are asked to take their bags to their classrooms before attending the breakfast - the doors to both the Massie and EJ Watt Buildings will be open.
Students will say goodbye to Fathers at the conclusion of the breakfast.
Please also note, on street parking in the local vicinity will be very limited.

Notes from the Music Department for Massie Performers at Junior School Open Day - Rehearsals Thursday 11 September 2025
Dear Parents and Carers,
As we prepare for the Pamela Whyte Strings performance at the upcoming Massie Open Day Concert on Friday 12 September, please take note of the important details below:
Pieces to Prepare:
- Song of the Wind
- Go Tell Aunt Rhody(Both pieces will be performed in D Major)
Instrument Requirements:Students will need to bring their violin or cello to school on the following days:
- Thursday 11 September for rehearsal
- Friday 12 September for the concert
Concert Day Arrival:On Friday 12 September at 8:15am, students need to meet Dr McDonald and Mrs Spencer in the Alexander Hall for tuning and setup.They will return to their classrooms in time for the classroom visits.

Notes from the Music Department for EJ Watt Performers at Junior School Open Day - Rehearsals Thursday 11 September 2025
Dear Parents and Carers,
We are excited to inform you that your daughter/s will be performing at The Junior Open Day Concert on Friday 12 September.
To prepare for this event, rehearsals will be run throughout the day in the Alexander Hall on Thursday 11 September for all performing ensembles. Students will be directed when to come out of class by their Class Teacher, with the exception of KSB. KSB's rehearsal will be at the usual time of 7.20am, but in the Alexander Hall.
Please ensure your daughter brings her instrument to school next Thursday 11 September if she is in an ensemble/s listed below.
She will also need to bring it to school next Friday 12 September for the concert.

Year 6 Parent Morning Tea at Junior School Open Day - Friday 12 September 2025 - 10.30 - 10.50am - Music Centre Foyer
Year 2 Excursion to Clifton Gardens - Monday 15 September 2025
An excursion to Clifton Gardens in Mosman has been organised for students in Year 2 on Monday 15 September, 2025.
Students will travel by bus to and from Clifton Gardens. Students are to arrive at school at the normal time for roll call and will leave by coach shortly after.
Students will return to school at approximately 2:45pm in time for carline collection or their usual Extra Curricular activities.
On this excursion, students should wear their full Sports Uniform, including their sports hat, yellow ribbon, coloured polo shirt and zip jacket (no fleeces are to be worn without a zip jacket, and track pants may be worn over shorts if the weather is cold).
Please ensure your daughter has applied sunscreen before leaving home in the morning.
PLEASE NOTE THERE WILL BE NO CANTEEN ORDERS ON THIS DAY - STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO BRING ALL THEIR FOOD AND WATER FOR THE DAY IN THEIR BLACK KAMBALA EXCURSION BAG.

Re: Medications needed on the day
It is School Policy that all students with Anaphylaxis, Asthma and any medical condition requiring Epi Pens, Asthma puffers, specific medications and/or food, bring these items on the day.
The students with known Anaphylaxis and severe allergies must have 2 x Epi Pens before they board the bus before any school outings. Students with known Asthma must have their Ventolin puffer before they board the bus.
Students should not attend if displaying any symptoms of illness.
Years 5 and 6 Incursion - "Celebrating Global Mindedness" – Formosa Melody Workshop - Tuesday 23 September 2025
As part of our commitment to Global Mindedness, students in Years 5 and 6 will take part in a special cultural incursion on Tuesday, 23 September. We are delighted to welcome Formosa Melody, a visiting music group from Taiwan, who will share their rich cultural heritage through music and performance.
This workshop will give students the chance to experience Taiwanese traditions in an engaging and interactive way, complementing their Mandarin studies and broadening their understanding of our global community. We look forward to celebrating this exciting event together.
