2025 FORPS Springtime Fair
Get excited folks!! – There are only 9 weeks until the RPS Fair hits our shores (grounds, perhaps?) As promised, it’s time to meet some of the fabulous folk behind the fair! And this week, we are spotlighting none other than Lee Adams – our fabulous Rides Coordinator!
But before we meet Lee, a quick shout out for help – we are on the hunt for marquees to make sure our fabulous stallholders are protected from the elements. 1. Tell us your name and your role in the fair committee
I'm Lee Adams, proud dad of Alexandra (5/6D) and Lewis (1/2P). As well as being the Treasurer of FORPS and BBQ wrangler-in-chief, I've taken on the role of coordinating the fairground rides. After all, what’s a fair without a bit of thrilling fun?
2. What kind of rides can people look forward to at the fair?
This year we bring back the popular ......
Meltdown
Wild One
and Disco Dome Inflatables
In addition to cater to all ages and help reduce your wait times, this year, we've added:
Ball Crawl with Slide – perfect for younger children
Stunt Jump - for the brave older kids
And the one I'm most excited by....not just 2 dimensions, not 3 dimensions, not even 4 dimensions in spacetime: We bring you the NINE! Dimension 9D Mobile Cinema attraction:
Aussie Events 9D-Cinema With 50 movies on offer the experience will change throughout the day.
Plus, we are thrilled to offer a Farmyard experience with over 30 adorable baby animals including a calf, lambs, goats, piglet, goose, ducks, rooster, hens, rabbits, guinea pigs and chicks.
And of course it wouldn’t be the Rosanna Fair without the famous dunk tank! We have been working hard to ensure that certain teachers and celebrities will get very wet that day.
All the above will be covered by a ride ticket which can be purchased on the day. Stay tuned for more info!
3. Where will people be able to find you on the day?
I’ll be buzzing around the rides!! The rides themselves will be on the Basketball court – you can’t miss them!
4. What are your top tips for a fab fair?
Since all rides are fully supervised, feel free to wonder from stall to stall and let your kids come and find you!
5. How can people get involved?
I only started volunteering for FORPS after meeting a bunch of amazing, hard-working folks during the 2019 fair. I wish I’d jumped in sooner - we always need an army of volunteers to lighten the load and raise more funds for the school.
Whether you’re a seasoned helper or a first-timer, don’t be shy. This fair needs YOU to make it a success.
