Hello, from Carolyn.
Respect, responsibility and kindness
Hello everyone,
We are currently in Boyn and Lawan time. The days become warmer and the bush bursts into life. What changes are you noticing around your neighbourhood?
Thursday 11 Sept Special Brekkie Club.
What a fabulous crowd of dads and special people who came along for Brekkie club! It was lovely to see you all there. Thank you to our OSHC staff who set the room up for us and to our student leaders who were most efficient at rearranging everything ready for cooking.
Mobile phones and students.
All students are required to hand their phones in to the office when they arrive at school. This is Department of Education policy. If you would like to read the policy you can find it here.
Sunsmart hat time!
Now that we are in September, the UV ratings are high enough that we need to follow our Sunsmart policy. From next week, students will be asked to wear their school sunsmart hats when outside. At the start of next term, all students will be expected to be wearing their sunsmart hats. Student not wearing hats will be directed to the library or the downstairs covered walkway areas to play.
If you would like to read our Sunsmart polciy, it is available here.

School crossing reminder.
Our school crossing is an 'unsupervised crossing'. You will see a staff member out there every morning and afternoon however, our job is not to stop the traffic. All vehicles must stop at a school crossing if someone is waiting to cross, or they are using the crossing. This rule applies even if the flags aren't out.
Unfortunately I have had cars drive straight past me as I was standing on the crossing and cars driving through the crossing as student's have been stepping out to use the crossing.
We are all responsible for making sure everyone is safe when using the school crossing, please do your part and drive safely, stick to the speed limit and stop at the crossing if someone is on it or waiting to cross.
Our choir has been invited to perform as part of the backing vocals at 'Phantom:A tribute to Michael Crawford'. This unique concert is a celebration of Michael Crawford's remarkable career, featuring music from The Phantom of the Opera, Les Misérables, Miss Saigon, and more. The performance is on Saturday 4 October at 2pm. You can book your tickets here- gotix
Have a lovely weekend everyone!
warm regards,
Carolyn.
