🌟 In Our Chinese Class 🌟
What a productive term we have had! From singing, counting numbers, playing fun games, performing dialogues and practicing the beauty of Chinese calligraphy, our students have been busy exploring the Chinese language and culture through meaningful and enjoyable activities. They are building confidence, having fun and strengthening their Mandarin skills!
✨ Term Highlights ✨
Foundation:
Reviewed greetings, numbers, colors, body parts and family members, through songs, games and hands-on activities. Students are beginning to respond confidently in Mandarin.
Year 1 and 2:
Practiced simple dialogues and role-plays, learning to ask and answer questions like “What is your name?” and “How are you?” while enjoying interactive games.
Year 3 and 4:
Explored Chinese culture and language by performing short dialogues, experiencing the art of Chinese calligraphy and learning about traditional festivals. They are showing growing confidence in speaking Mandarin.
Years 5 and 6:
Experienced the art of Chinese calligraphy, practicing brush strokes and creating their own beautiful characters and drawing. This activity encouraged patience, focus and appreciation of Chinese culture.
We are proud of our students’ enthusiasm and progress and look forward to continuing our Mandarin journey next term!
