Principal Team Message

Sam Tyndall & Emily Harvey

Hello BRPS Community,

That's a Wrap!

What an amazing term we have just completed. From strong academic progress to astounding athletic achievements, acts of kindness and adhering to our school values, not to mention the sensational concert 'Dancing Through the Decades,' the BRPS community has earned an A+ for all we have achieved.

Final Day Dismissal

The final day for Term 3 is Friday 19th September, with early dismissal at 2.30pm.

Footy Colours Day

Footy Colours Day will be held tomorrow on the final day of Term 3. Students are invited to dress up in footy colours (any code) and bring along coins to participate in the famous 'footy coin line' in the morning.

Assembly and Early Dismissal

After an early and reduced lunch break from 1-1:30pm, our final assembly of the term will also be held tomorrow at 1.45pm. Students will return to their classrooms to be dismissed at 2.30pm. Please ensure you have made pick-up or OSHC arrangements for the earlier dismissal time.

Please continue to use the Compass Calendar and News Feed updates for information about events and activities around the school.

Concert - Dancing Through the Decades

The 2025 Concert, "Dancing Through the Decades", was a huge success and provided a wonderful experience for students to practice, prepare and perform on the big stage in front of 1000 + audience members.

Congratulations to Cass Dixon who was the driving force behind the production, ably supported by the entire BRPS staff. Thank you also to parents and family members who assisted their students to prepare.

The feedback about the concert has been overwhelmingly positive and remains a significant achievement and a marvellous showcase for what we can do together as a community.

Bravo to our students for putting on a brilliant performance, it was a wonderful reward for the effort and dedication shown to learning lines and dance moves over the last term or so. It was a lot of fun and I'm sure everyone is very proud of their efforts.

Oval

We have had a few community members inquire about the patchy state of our school oval. I can assure everyone that the current colour and condition of the turf is to be expected. With the most recent renovations, 80% of the oval is now covered in Kikuyu turf, which goes into a dormant state over the winter months, where it stops growing and loses colour. Now that the spring is here, the colour and growth is already starting to return with the increased sunlight and warmer weather.

Oval maintenance/fertilising/irrigation etc. will take place over the September holidays, and we expect that a significant transformation will take place over the next month.

I thank our school community for your support in maintaining our oval as a wonderful asset for the school and a place for our students to play and learn.

Celebration

Congratulations to Gemma E. in Year 5 who has been selected in the Victorian Track and Field Team to compete at the School Sports Australia National Championships next term. Gemma has qualified for Shot Put and the Mutli-Event (100m, Long Jump, Shot Put, 800m).  Best of luck Gemma!

2025 Parent, Caregiver and Guardian Opinion Survey

Thank you to all the families who have participated in the department's Parent/Carer Opinion Survey. Your feedback is invaluable in helping us understand the areas where we are excelling and those that require further attention.

The 2025 Parent, Caregiver and Guardian Opinion Survey is open for completion for only 24 more hours and will close tomorrow,  Friday 19 September, 2025.

We would greatly appreciate your participation if you have not yet had the chance to do so. Please see the Compass News Feed for more information.

We look forward to sharing the results with you next term. Thank you once again for your participation and for being an integral part of our school community.

2026 Class Planning

If your child will not be attending BRPS in 2026, please notify the Administration Office as soon as possible. This information is important for our planning of classroom structures for next year.
