SAFETY REMINDER AROUND SCHOOL
A reminder to PLEASE drive carefully when around our school. We had an incident this morning where a 2 year old was nearly struck by car when crossing at the Graceburn Ave lights when the driver wasn't paying attention to the green pedestrian light. There have been reports of a few near misses so we urge you to please take care.
A reminder to also PLEASE be respectful of our neighbours when parking your car at pick up and drop off times. We have lovely neighbours who are very supportive of our school. Unfortunately, we have had some of them upset that they are unable to get out of their driveways as parent’s cars are parked over them. Please do not do this even if you are sitting in your car. Parking a couple of streets away and walking to pick up your child is preferable.
WORKING BEE THIS THURSDAY
We are having a working bee this Thursday from 1.00pm. All volunteers welcome! Thank you in advance for your assistance. 😊
SCIENCE DIORAMA EXHIBITION
Carnegie Primary School held its first ever whole-school Diorama Exhibition, inviting students from Prep to Year 6 to design and build models inspired by the question: How might humans survive in space? The theme was drawn from this year’s National Science Week and gave students the opportunity to imagine how the future of human survival might look by creating space bases, futuristic technologies, survival habitats and more. The dioramas on display were a testament to the creativity and curiosity of our students. Each model reflected not just imagination, but a real interest in how science can help us understand and shape the future. Special thanks to our student science leaders, Skanda and Ira, for developing the exhibition theme, and to Ira for designing the event poster. All students should be proud of their efforts — the quality of work displayed their enthusiasm, effort, and growing confidence as young scientific thinkers.
