Principal's Message

With Mr Keith Willett

Over the past fortnight, there has been a wonderful sense of community and activity across the school, with students, staff and families all contributing to a very positive and productive start to May.

Our annual Mother’s Day Breakfast was once again a terrific success. It was wonderful to see so many mothers, grandmothers and special guests join students and staff for this much-loved community event. The morning provided an excellent opportunity to celebrate and thank the many important women in our students’ lives, and we sincerely appreciate the support of all those who attended and assisted with the organisation of the event.

Students also participated in our Cross Country program this week, displaying great enthusiasm, determination and sportsmanship throughout the day. Congratulations to all students who took part and challenged themselves across the various events and distances. Thank you to staff for their organisation and encouragement, and to families for their ongoing support of school sport.

Last week, the school was pleased to welcome a number of Business Managers from other AngliSchools who visited to learn more about our facilities and programs. It was an excellent opportunity to showcase the continued growth and development occurring across our campus and to share ideas and professional dialogue with colleagues from across the sector.

A further highlight of last week was the visit by Senator Jana Stewart, who toured the school and Trade Centre. This visit was appreciated by the many students and staff who were able to meet Senator Stewart and listen to her engaging dialogue around education.

A very poignant statement from Senator Stewart that I include here was "all schools have an obligation to make an education accessible to all students in their region". I feel very strongly that our commitment to the VCE VM and our building of the Trade Centre certainly fulfills the sentiment of Senator Stewart’s words.

As always, thank you to our students, staff and families for their ongoing contribution to the positive culture and strong community spirit that continues to define our school.
