Miss Kim Taggart

Yaama,

NAIDOC WEEK 2024 - Rotation Day

On the last Thursday of Term 2, the whole school participated in our NAIDOC Week rotations. These rotations consisted of sand art, pendant making and magic paint, loom bands and contributing to multiple artworks that will be placed around the school. I would like to say a huge thank you to all the Teachers and Education Assistants for their help in running the rotations. It would not have been as successful without them!

Conference Performance Group

There will be another practice this term for the Conference Cultural Performance. The following students are to wear their sports uniform on the Thursday 8th August:

Roxy Roberts

Jarvis Dobson

Isabella Whitten

Noah Craig

Bella-Grace Bell

Kaylee Bray

Jorja Gardner

The students will need to bring in their performance clothes in a plastic bag with their name on it, as well as have their names written on their clothes somewhere. Clothes are to be left at the front office for Mrs. Mitchell.

Mrs. Stacey Power will accompany these students to St Nic's for rehearsal. Students need to pack their own morning tea and a sausage sandwich will be provided for lunch.

Miss Taggart Away

I will be away from week 2 until week 4 this term as I am doing my University Practicum at St Mary of the Angels Primary,  Guyra. Cultural groups will be on hold until I return.

Wii Gaay Camp This Term

This term, Miss Taggart along with Kaylee Bray, Matilda Craig and Harrison Roberts will be attending Wii Gaay Camp in Week 6. We are going to Stuarts Point for a week to experience local Aboriginal traditions and participate in learning workshops throughout the day. There will be a zoom catch up on Friday the 23rd August during school time that ALL students must attend before we leave the following Monday.
