Boarding News
Dear Boarding Parents and Guardians,
Â
The recent long weekend was a welcome interruption for the boys and gave them the opportunity to reconnect with home, family and friends. The staff too, welcomed some downtime.Â
I had the privilege of accompanying some of the Year 7s to the Mothers and Mentors Afternoon Tea held in the College gymnasium. Thank you to all the boarding mothers, grandmothers and significant female figures, in our boysâ lives who were able to attend, I know I certainly enjoyed the afternoon and Iâm sure all the guests did too.
Â
With only 3 weeks until the end of term, life in the Cebula community is certainly busy. The Year 10s are preparing for exams next week; Â the Year 9s are looking forward to their Outdoor Education camp; and the Year 12s, their highly anticipated ball on the last day of term. Winter sport is also keeping many of the boys busy (and wet) with games across the weekend as well as weekday training.
Construction of the new boarding house is continuing and on schedule. It's been interesting to see the many structural changes occurring each day. Hopefully, the wet weather that has set in won't delay the build. We're all very much looking forward to the finished product at the end of the year.
