Junior Soccer Report Game 3
The Junior Soccer Team played their third game of the Champion Schools Football Cup against Australian Islamic College after a 4-week break. The team were looking to continue their winning form. In wet conditions, Mazenod dominated the game with strong pressure and crisp passing, a feature that has been a highlight of the season. The team ran out deserved 5-nil winners. Thank all the parents who came down to help and support the team. Congratulations to Luke H who scored a hat trick, and to Hamish P and Lucas R with 1 goal each. The team's next game is against Darling Range College in Week 9.
Intermediate Soccer Report Game 4
The Intermediate Soccer Team played their fourth game of the Champion Schools Football Cup playing away against Kalamunda SHS. Both teams were undefeated in the competition so far, with each team having some big wins. The game was played in Kalamunda's defensive half for the majority of the 1st half , with Kalamunda showing a strong defensive game plan. However, Mazenod eventually took control striking two quick goals through Daniel B and then Marcus M giving a 2 nil half-time advantage.
The 2nd half was much the same with Mazenod dominant in possession and Kalamunda having limited chances. We were 5 nil winners!
Thanks to Mr Wani and Mr Mason for their assistance in coaching the team and the parents who came and supported them. The team's last game is hosting Kalamunda SHS (B) on Tuesday 11 June (Week 9).
