Term 2, Week 9

Dear Parents and Carers,

I would like to take this opportunity to share our school vision with you all. 

Our Lady’s aspires to be a welcoming community unified by love, faith, hope and learning.

Our school vision sets the direction for our entire school community and is the foundation that guides our decision making and creates a sense of purpose for our students, staff and parents. This term, our students have been learning about our vision and understanding its purpose. Just like our school prayer, our vision is crucial in embedding its principles into our daily school life. By incorporating the vision into our classrooms, assemblies and school events, students can better understand the core values of love, faith, hope and learning. 

Thank you to all families who have booked a time to meet with their child/ren's teacher to discuss the Mid Year Report. Nearly 360 families have booked a time for our parent teacher conference on Tuesday 25th or Thursday 27th June. Please book a time via COMPASS if you haven't already. Reports will be sent via COMPASS on Friday 21st June. 

Our Year 6 students represented our school at the annual winter sports Gala day today. This is an opportunity for our students to showcase their sporting talents and participate in Football, Soccer and Netball tournaments against other local schools. All our students represented our school with great pride. Well done to all our competitors.  

Our Year 6’s are off to The Ranch on the Mornington Peninsula for a 3 day camp experience next week. We wish them great weather and a fantastic time. Our camp program provides so many opportunities for our students to participate in social and educational activities outside the normal school program. They are also a perfect opportunity to challenge students to step out of their comfort zones, promoting personal growth and resilience. I would like to thank our Year 6 teachers and additional staff who will be attending the camp as it is time away from their own families but I’m sure they are going to have a great time!!!
