Maths Report

Our Year 5 and 6 Maths Extension classes are participating in The University of Melbourne, School of Mathematics and Statistics 2024 Research Competition.

This competition provides each student with a chance to learn about conducting research and solving mathematical problems.

Students collaborate in teams of three, selecting one open-ended research question. They work together to collect data, simplify, visualise, hypothesise, and prove their solution.

Recently, the Year 6 groups showcased their research progress and outlined their plans for completing their projects.
