Principal's Report

Dear St A’s Community,

How wonderful was it to see our Grade 4 Eucharist candidates receive the Holy sacrament of communion. It was a beautiful occasion and lovely to see so much family support at the Mass.  A big congratulations to all the students involved as they took this important step in their faith journey.

A big thankyou to all of our students who have put in the hard work this term to achieve success!  As learners we all come across small bumps in the road.  As resisilient people we use those hurdles as a opportunity.  Developing a growth mind set is essential in the learning journey.  Learning from our mistakes is all part of the jorney!

Last week we welcomed 4 new students to our school!  Welcome to Halle and James into Prep and Jed and Isabella into Grade 2!  Please make these 2 new families feel very welcome in our school and community!

On Thursday, I am embarking  on a rich professional learning experience in the Northern Territory with the Peninsula Principals Network. This journey will provide us all with an invaluable opportunity to deepen our own personal understanding of our First Nations People, their unique culture, and their enduring traditions. Immersing ourselves in the rich heritage and diverse practices of Indigenous communities, we aim to gain a profound appreciation of their history, knowledge, and perspectives. I look forward to sharing this learning with staff and students next term and am grateful to Emma  who will be stepping into the role of Acting Principal for the last six days of term.

Just a reminder that the last day of the school term will be Friday the 27th June with the students finishing at 1:30pm. It's been a long term!  I hope all of our students enjoy the term break!

Show Grace, Be the joy for others and God Bless.
