Welcome to Term 3 - Holiday Updates
This week the school community has braved a very cold and wet start to the term! That said, the school was a busy place over the holidays!
- Our OSHC Service provided a fulfilling program for the community with every day either booked out or near to booked out! Well done Cassie, Kim, Jessica and the team for organising such an engaging program for the community.
- As a part of our ongoing facilities upgrades:
- the Mini-PAC (second Performing Arts classroom), Year 2 common area, and Senior School corridor were re-carpeted.
- the painting of Block A (Prep & Visual Arts), Block C (Admin and PAC), and Block E (Senior) was completed.
- The soccer pitch was line marked to celebrate the completion of the student led project to enhance the field.
Welcome and Welcome Back
This week we've welcomed our new Grounds and Facilities Manager Tim Hurley.
We've also welcomed back teachers Jess Cassidy, Tayla Alderson, and Ashley Bau who have each returned to teaching either part-time or casually following the births of their children last year.
Department of Education School Review and OSHC Accreditation
The school is working through two separate compliance and performance evaluation processes at the moment.
- Our school Strategic Review is reflecting on our performance over our four-year Strategic Plan and developing our new 2024 - 2027 Strategic Plan.
- Our Out of School Care service is going through an assessment against the 7 quality areas of the National Quality Standard.
I would like to thank and acknowledge the teams of staff, led by Amy Prior, Cassie Jones, and Angela Stevens who have put in an enormous amount of time and energy into demonstrating our high levels of compliance and achievement against the measures.
I look forward to working with the DE nominees and our teams over the coming weeks to finalise these evaluations and construct new action plans.
