Look what’s been happening in Year 1!

On Wednesday the 22nd May students dressed up in a “touch of blue” to celebrate National Simultaneous Story time. Students from Prep to Year Three attended a reading of “Bowerbird Blues,” by Aura Parker. Students completed activities related to the text, including our fabulous bird’s nest.

Religious Education

In Religious Education the students have been exploring how God is represented through different images and parables from the Bible.

After listening to the parable of ‘The Lost Sheep’ the students drew their own image of God and interpreted how they see God in our community.

Inquiry - Games of the past

In our Inquiry unit ‘Now and Then’, students explored the history of toys and games. They investigated how toys and games have changed over time. Students played olden day games at school, including; quoits, sack races, hoop rolling, stilts, elastics and target practice.
