Ivanhoe district netball
10 grade 6 boys took part in Ivanhoe district netball today. The standard was very high, and the IPS student’s improvement across the three games has huge. We had a tough first game losing to St Anthony’s, but turned things around against St John’s and got the win. Our final game was against St Bernadette’s. This was another tough game and unfortunately we lost. St Bernadette’s won the day undefeated and go on to the division championship next term.

Congratulations to Connor who took part in the Aus cycling MTB School series this weekend.
The series is a mountain bike cross country race, which takes place across 5 different venues over the next few months. Connor is in the u11 category, which means he races over 5km, and you get points each race depending on where you finish. The points after 5 races are added up to get the overall winner. The first round was on Sunday in Dromana, Connor competed well and came 3rd in his race. That gets him 10 points to take forward to the next round which is on 14th July at Lysterfield Park. Lysterfield Park was the venue for the mountain bike race in the 2006 Commonwealth Games.

Looking ahead
In Term 3, starting August 26th for 4 weeks, we will be participating in Jump Rope for Heart. It will be for students in Foundation to Year 2 and will be a part of their PE program at this time. Please read the attached parent information regarding this fundraiser.
