As we approach the midpoint of the academic year, it's crucial to highlight the importance of Year 11 for our students at Wyndham College. This year lays the foundation for future academic success and personal growth. Attending every lesson and actively collaborating with teachers are key steps in this journey. By engaging fully in their studies, students can maximize their learning potential and be well-prepared for the challenges ahead.

Parent-Teacher Interviews

Parent-Teacher Interviews will take place on Tuesday, June 25th from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. This is a valuable opportunity for parents and students to discuss progress, address any concerns, and set goals for the remainder of the year. Bookings can be made via the Sentral Parent Portal on our website, which ensures a convenient and efficient scheduling process.

Reports

Reports will be published in the Parent Portal on Monday, June 24th. These reports provide detailed insights into each student’s performance, highlighting areas of strength and opportunities for improvement. For those who require a printed copy of the report, please contact the office, and we will be happy to provide one.

Multicultural Day

We are excited to celebrate Multicultural Day on Tuesday 2nd July in Week 10. This event is a highlight of our school calendar, showcasing the rich diversity of our school community. Please note that although there are no regular classes after recess on this day, it remains a mandatory school day. Participation is essential, and we look forward to a vibrant and educational celebration.

University Early Entry and Scholarships

Congratulations to all students who are applying and gaining acceptance for early entry into university. These applications are still open, as are various scholarship opportunities. Students needing assistance with their applications or scholarships should see our High Potential and Gifted Education Year Adviser, Sally, in the library.

TAFE NSW Mid-Year Enrolment

TAFE NSW is now accepting enrolments for their mid-year intake. This is an excellent opportunity for students interested in pursuing vocational education and training. Those considering TAFE should consult our Career’s Advisers or contact TAFE directly to explore available courses and enrolment options.

In conclusion, I would like to commend all Year 11 students for their hard work and dedication thus far and look forward to our upcoming Principal’s morning tea.

Thank you for your ongoing cooperation and commitment to making this year a productive and rewarding experience for all.
